Natural dyes - why?

Natural dyes such as indigo (blue dye from the indigo plant), turmeric (yellow dye from the kurma root) and henna (orange dye extracted from the leaves of the henna plant) are ideal for baby and children's clothing. Unlike synthetic dyes, which can contain harmful chemicals such as heavy metals, formaldehyde or aromatic hydrocarbons, natural dyes are healthier and more environmentally friendly. The skin of babies and young children is much thinner and more receptive than the skin of adults, so it is especially important to choose clothing made from natural dyes to avoid allergic reactions or skin irritation.

Natural dyes are also biodegradable and therefore less harmful to the environment. Unlike synthetic dyes, which are often limited to a limited number of colors, natural dyes can be used to create a wider range of hues. In addition, using and dyeing with natural dyes often supports small family-run manufactories and helps preserve traditional craftsmanship.

However, there are also some drawbacks to using natural dyes for baby and children's clothing, as they are more expensive than synthetic dyes and often require a more involved production method. However, if you want to increase the health of your children and reduce the environmental impact, you should choose clothes with natural dyes.

Our clothing for babies and children is made from organic cotton and dyed with natural dyes. We support small family businesses and help preserve traditional craftsmanship. Our baby and children's clothing is a healthy and sustainable choice for your baby/child's clothing.
